***following post is long with lots of pics and the odd looking woman in the pics usually standing by my dad is his girlfriend. i dont like her and thats all im saying about that..lol..***
so we just got back from spending a week in Oregon with dad and the kid. train ride up wasn't to bad. we got delayed in San Francisco when a door on the train fell off. yes i said fell off..lol.. they get that fixed and at the very next stop we get held up because the police board the train and have to boot people off for drunk and disorderly conduct. had to wait till the cops released the train to continue on its way.. we got to kalamath falls early actually.heres some pics we took on the train on the way up.
when we get there dad and the kid are there to pick us up. it was great to see them both.. dad is up moving around pretty good considering he had his leg and hip reconstructed twice in last 5 months or so. he fell off a ladder while painting his house. he snapped his femur bone right where it meets the hip.. he cut open his face at his eyebrow that healed up nice had a bunch of stitches there. hes back at the gym now and moving around pretty good. not 100 % but getting there.
on the first day after getting off train we just kinda toured the town and got some rest.
on sunday we went to brooking oregon right on the coast. its so beautiful there.. here are some pics from there
on monday we went with the kid and dad to medford and looked around there..thats where the kid goes to school. went through some antique malls and did some shopping got a pizza and hung out. there is a place there called beer works.. they have 450 different kinda of beer and offer beer tastings on fridays.. kinda neat lookign place.. heres some pics from medford
on tuesday we went to Umpaque valley to the seven feathers casino.had 80 bucks walked out with 5 cents.. its ok got a few hours of play. had lunch there. heres some pics from that day
on wednesday we tried to go to crater lake.. well the snow stopped us had to turn around ..to much snow. they got 17 inches in the storm.. but its ok we stopped in a snow bank and took pics and played around a bit.. very very beautiful..here some pics
on thursday we had breakfast with the kid and friend.. we had breakfast at the country club at the golf course that overlooked the whole valley.. very nice,,we also drove around the town saw the damn.. visitied the fish hatchery..heres some pics from around town and from my dads house.. and from the hatchery..and the train ride home
