Work and stuff

work is about the same.The usual cuts and bruises except i whacked my head on these metal pegs that you stick into a peg board to hang up all the mops and brooms.it got me right in the forehead, that really hurt.It was cool we had a power outage the other day at work. we had to evacuate everyone from the store and had to empty all the frozen and cold foods into the coolers and freezers in the back.then had to put back all the stuff people had in their carts.luckily for me this all happened in the last 30mins of my shift so i didn't have to do much of this..i call that good timing.lol.
I saw this lady come into the store a few weeks back she was blue..no lie..blue..i've seen this on tv, a guys skin turned blue something to do with silver..i dont remember. but we got one up here..
Its hot up here now, mid 90's.a dry heat though no humidity.today we borrowed the forkers new ride and drove to neighboring town about 20 or so miles away. this town is even smaller then Moses but it was nice just to get out and drive for a bit and look at all the "nothingness" around here.we stopped in at the gas station and got a soda. fun huh..lol..we are still making stuff out of duct tape. gina made a baseball cap the other day. i'll get pics of it up here soon. we picked up a book on how to make origami flowers, looks kinda cool might try some of those. Other then that things are pretty much the same here. the forkers oldest will be graduating high school on friday. hey forkers doesn't that make you feel old..lol.

Garden

we picked a bunch of lettuce today and one strawberry was ready.the sunflowers and gourds are getting tall, think we will have to go stake them tomorrow.the california poppys we planted have started to bloom. tomatoes look really good. cilantro is getting really tall now too.the hot peppers are starting to break ground.we planted a few pumpkin seeds the other day and they have already broke ground. we planted some flowers in a flower plot here at home. here is what they look like.

Pets

Pets are doing good. "Z" is in the egg laying season.we found out that xy is a boy turtle so we might have a bunch of baby turtles soon.H1N1 is enjoying his new home, saw him drinking water the other day kinda cool.the pics below are of 13 taking a dust bath and a pic of boo boo.

This July the Kid and our dad are coming up for a visit, dad is going to stay a week and the kid is going to stay for a month(well actually i think 3 weeks)..cant wait for them to get here. Work is going ok.I'm getting use to the endless line of weirdos and freaks (locals in other words) that come into the store.most don't shock me as much anymore.There's a lot of just strange looking people in this town.. anyway, i'm up to 40 hours a week now. Hopefully soon they will call gina up.

We started to make roses out of duct tape, check it out..oh added 16 rubber bands to the ball yesterday.

People are disgusting

Ok.let me know if you find this as disgusting as i do.someone tells me that there's a mess in the next aisle,i get there and there is a bag of candy spilled out on the floor so i go get a broom and dust pan i get back and there was this guy who started to eat them from off the floor;don't get me wrong i am grateful that he did that less mess for me to clean but come on how sick is that.then some chick started opening the bags of paper plates to see which one she wanted.I go do something and come back to take the opened bags of paper plates off the shelf and found a bag of defrosted raw chicken that someone threw on top of the opened plates and it was leaking all over the exposed plates.what a mess.

taco bell

The two of us went to taco bell for dinner, we ate inside, as we where sitting eating, our moms favorite song came on the radio in the taco bell. we both just looked up at each other.Then the tears started to roll right there in taco bell. We text message our brother to tell him and he replied she would have laughed and said "told you i would haunt you"..thats exactly what she would have said too..gosh you would think after some time that it gets easier to deal with then we hear her favorite song and it takes right back to that night she died..This fucking sucks!..

Rubber Bands and Duct Tape

First off We added 4 rubber bands to the rubber band ball..well on our way to the record..lol..
We checked out this book from the library on how to make things out of duct tape. so far we have a wallet,a woven purse,we are going to try a baseball cap next. its kinda fun..Heres a pic of the wallet(not that great of a pic).

So for shits and giggles today i went over to the Guinness book of world records site and looked up how big the biggest rubber band ball is...well its 9,032 lbs (4,097kg), and 6' 7'' tall with a diameter of 25 ft....thats a big ball..lol...

Mothers Day

Mothers Day is tomorrow...This is the second Mothers day without mom...It sucks...we bought a fern(mom really liked ferns) and put it next to her ashes..Happy Mothers Day Mom..

Farmers Market

We went to farmers market this morning and we are sitting there and this truck pulls up towing what looks like a covered boat, it wasn't a boat they unpack a glider..lol..check it out. kinda weird...

Rubber Band Ball

Yesterday we went into staples to get some stuff and we bought this rubber band ball.

We are going to try and build the ball up bigger..who knows one day we might get in the Guinness book of world records for the biggest rubber band ball..lol..
