Dream

Had this dream last night that my alarm went off and I got up and was searching for my work pants..then my alarm goes off and I wake up and I go looking for my work pants..weird..did I have a premonition that I would be woke up by alarm and first thing I would do is search for pants..was I still dreaming..im not sure..was I caught between awake and sleep...

I think our store dislikes us..we just found out for black friday we have to supervise lines in electronics..I got ipads and gina got a tv..they threw us in the trenches...pray for us guys..its gonna be an ugly black friday for us..hopefully we make it out unscathed and still employed..

Rewind

Rewind to two days ago.work puts us on a special project..working 8hrs in the ice cream freezer.mind you its -10 degrees yes -10..and they keep wind constantly blowing in there to keep the ice cream solid bricks.think I spent to long in there.I felt like shit yesterday and today too. Think I caught some walmart laced pneumonia.fever broke yesterday and today my throat still hurts like a bitch.you know how when you get that weather beaten burn feel on your face whens its really windy..thats how my throat feels like I burned the shit out of it..they ask me to do that again the answer is nope..but I gotta say we got that freezer looking amazing..lol..

Name tag

Yesterday I lost my name tag somewhere between unloading the truck and stocking potatoes.today im working with two of my produce people and we go to unload the truck and an assistant manager tells one of my guys I like your name tag.apparently they found my nametag in the cooler this morning in the strawberries and took turns wearing it to see if I would notice..did I notice..nope.not until the assistant manager said nice nametag.I think they could have kept it up all day I probably wouldnt have noticed at all..

I dont wanna work today.I just wanna go to the beach and sit there and listen to the water for awhile.im in car at work,it would be easy to just turn around and leave ..........................

Lunch and a show

So they we were outside on lunch break and out of nowhere like 8 cop cars come swooping in and all the cops get out of their cars with guns drawn and pointed at a car with three people in it.the pic hopefully shows how close we were to the show.cops told us we couldnt leave the benches and table we were at and the store was put on a lockdown for a moment no one in and no one out.they get the three people out and searched and put in the cop cars and they tow away the car and we were allowed back in..never a dull moment at work

Walmart funk

Got hand caught between the metal table on sales floor and a case of apples while trying to stock them..the metal cut open the top of my hand..think its infected..what do u think?.

Two worlds meet

I really like working this very early morning shift.this early is where the nightcrawlers(overnighters) and daywalkers(day shift) cross paths.end of one thing and begining of an other.i find it kind of neat.they see us walk in and have a smile on their face cause we signal their shift is almost over.and they see the misery in our eyes cause our shift is just starting..two worlds crossing paths..

The clock

Question...if you work a overnight shift,10pm-7am or so.when its daylight savings time how does that work when time changes.do you work an extra hour while the rest of gain an hour of sleep.that would suck your working you think its almost 3am and then the clock says fuck you and goes back to 2am..wonder what the world looks like when it gains an hour or loses an hour.one of these years im gonna have to stay up and watch the world as the time changes.
