Morning of Move

well, today is the day we move..we are already up and getting things ready to go. I don't if this happens to anyone else but i hate when i know we have an alarm set for a certain time and i wind up waking up about 30min before its to go off...it drives me crazy..i cant go back to sleep and just wind up lying there for 30mins staring at the ceiling...anyway...will try and write more when we get the opportunity to this weekend.....bye california.....

Last day in california Part 2

ok..so day is going well.We went to the store today to get some snacks for the train( buying anything on the train is just to expensive)we were looking in the candy aisle and came across these.Irregular jelly belly jelly beans called belly flops...has anyone every seen this before??there are some odd shaped jelly beans in that bag..weird...thought we would share..

Last day in California...

Well,its the last day before we leave..Time went fast.Last night we went and had dinner at a friends house which was nice.The Picture to the right is our friends new dog,daisy, pretty cute dog.Today we are going to just hang around home and hang out with the kid and make sure we have everything packed up that we want to take.It really hasn't hit us yet that we are leaving.we think it will hit us when we are at the train station saying goodbye to the kid, and dad. Tomorrow will be a hard day. ..anyway going to go enjoy our last day in california....write more later..

Jury Duty

Jury Duty went well. I parked right by the elevator which was great. I checked in got my badge and blue pamphlet. They first asked for people who could do a minimum 14 day trial..I was surprised how many people could do that....Then we went on break...came back then they called up a group of 60 at random which i was included in...then i had to go up to room c39...The judge was really funny and made you feel very comfortable in there.I told the judge that i was moving out of the state on Saturday..Then the judge asked where i was moving to and he ask me if i was ready for all that rain..lol...then he asked the people in the courtroom should we stand in her way of moving..then everyone said let her go...lol.... he told me to check back in downstairs and they might be able to find a smaller length trial for me...I went back downstairs to check back in...then i went to sit down and maybe 2 minutes later i hear over the intercom everyone that just came from c39 please come to the window... i go back up to the window and they told me i was dismissed and they thanked me for serving and that i was the only one from my group to get dismissed...so i was out of there by 11am....cool huh....

Yard Sales

SO... we had a yard sale again this last weekend, we did ok. What didn't get sold went to goodwill.
Has anyone ever had a yard sale and just watched what comes to your yard to buy stuff.We had this guy come up on a bike, the guy bought a crowbar of all things..a crowbar...I'm thinking to myself we just sold this guy his next murder weapon....then this lady walks up with her baby stroller and all, she examines and almost buys a thing of rope,she put it down after we told her the price...I'm thinking to myself a woman with a baby why didn't she look at the toys and stuff like that...what would she want rope for i'm thinking to myself,to tie-up the baby or something like that....lol.....ok enough rambling for tonight...

Margarita Monday

So we got together one last time with some of our friends tonight. It was so great to see everyone and hangout for a little bit,(the margaritas were good). We love talking to our friends about the move,they are so encouraging and happy for us and have faith that things will work out,we definitely needed that tonight. We don't get much encouragement and that faith that things will work out from home so its nice to hear it from our friends especially this close to leaving.If our friends are reading this we love you guys and will miss you a lot, we WILL keep in touch.....ok...tomorrow is jury duty how messed up is that to have jury duty the week we leave...will let you know how it goes tomorrow..

one week to go

Well, we are about one week until we leave. Here's where we are at:we have everything packed and stored away and just to got finish packing up what we are taking with us. We had a few yard sales(having another tomorrow) trying to get a little extra money to take with us. what doesn't get sold will be donated to goodwill.Monday night we will be meeting up with some friends,you know see them one last time kinda thing, it should be fun.Train tickets have been bought and picked up,hotel reservation has been made.....so we are good to go...just waiting now..
