we went to do some shopping over the weekend at walmart and as we were leaving the door greeter asked are you twins?..we said yes and she said there was a set of identical twins here just a moment ago.. she said lets see if they are still here. so we follow her outside and there was a set of identical 80+ year old ladies...lol...one had those big glasses you get when you have your eyes dilated on and the other in a motorized cart cause she broke her hip..and they explained how one was helping the other since she broke her hip.. and how one still has their license the other doesn't..it was kinda neat conversation. i told Gina that's gonna be us..lol..

today

today we pulled out our instruments..i opened the case and got hit in the face with that brass poisoning smell..it was nice..its been so long since we played.. i put the trombone together and try to play it and yeah i couldn't do it..lol..it took awhile but got a decent sound out of it and actually remembered how to play a bflat scale..shocked me..gina pulled out her french horn..the strings on the values were broke so she couldn't really do anything with it. she got a bit of a sound out of it. think im going to try and start playing again on a daily basis.. i do miss it.

whats new?

Here's whats been going on with us lately...nothing...lol..just been kinda hanging out with the family getting ready for Christmas stuff like that. The microwave almost caught fire today...i was heating something up and the microwave started to shoot sparks out the vents..i unplugged it and put up an out of order sign to warn others..lol..we applied at walmart yesterday going to apply at a few more places..hopefully we will find a job soon..money is kinda running low.
our cats hate each other. when the 3 are a in room together it turns into a battle royale...lol..kinda funny. bags (the cat we brought from Washington) just wants to play with the other cats and the two other cats aren't having it.
we made diner for family the other night.made a chicken pot pie..later we sat around drinking beer and jut bullshitting..kinda nice.

in the last two weeks our brother opened up his own auto body and paint store..Think they had their first customer all ready.
Discount Body and Paint on Garden Grove Blvd and beach..in the old earl scheib building( the earl scheib sign is still up there..lol..)..They are still getting things in order but you should check out the place if your car is in need of body repair or a paint job.

2 weeks

well we have been home about 2 weeks now. no job yet, but to be honest haven't really put any effort into finding one yet. just been kinda hanging around doin whatever..Been here been there hung out with some friends..easing back into "city" life..lol....i have noticed that i now have anxiety issues when in stores.. i walk into a store and just have an intense feeling that i need to leave that something bad is gonna happen..like when i'm in a car and see nothing but death and destruction happening..hopefully its goes away..and that its just me adjusting to being back in the city..when there is a lot of people around at home too(which is all the time) i have find myself having to leave the room to a empty room and just chill out for a moment..weird i know..like i said hopefully its just me adjusting to being home and i will be comfortable in crowds again..guess living in east jesus nowhere population 0 for almost 3 years didn't help ..lol..

we were cleaning the apartment yesterday and i was cleaning the bathrooms.. well i clean the toilet in one and close the lid and finsh up in that bathroom and go clean up the other one..well gina goes to use the restroom( the first one i cleaned) and lifts the lid and finds this

If you cant tell in the picture its a dime in the toilet...lol...how does a dime get in the toilet if the lid was down and no one went in there after i was done cleaning it..and the dime was heads up..i was always told that if you find a coin heads up its good luck..does that count if you find the dime in the toilet??

so the store was packed this weekend, worse then usual, I got to do a lot of people watching. today i watched a head of lettuce fall on the floor and on my way to pick it up I observed about 4 adults walk by it and look down at it and just pass it up.Then right as i was approaching it a little boy( about 5 years old) ran up and picked it up and put it away.the boys mom called him over back over to her. Don't think she knew he left her side. I found it interesting that the adults just passed the lettuce by and a a little boy came over not to play with it or anything but to pick it up and put it away...
Then i watched countless people take out items from their carts that they decided not to get and put the items down where ever they pleased. somethings people second guessed and took out of their carts i can under stand.Stuff like sodas, junk food and stuff like that, those impulse buys. I then find someone had second guess buying toe nail fungus medicine..ok if you pick something like this up you obviously think you need so why would you all of a sudden take it out of your cart thinking you don't need it..lol..you need it..don't pass up on the toe nail fungus medicine for something else...
a lady came up to me at work today and told me that with the amount of Mexicans in this town that we shouldn't run out of jalapenos and that we should know better..WTF...lol..

a 50% off sale on the weekend and at the begining of the month make for some rude people

so there is this 50% off sale going on at work...so the store is packed seems like the whole town and then some showed up..they had me helping in grocery so naturally they pull me up to register which pissed me off.so i get off the register and go back to stocking juice and i drop half a case of juice and one bottle the cap broke off and half the contents spill on the floor. people keep going through the aisle paying no mind to the mess on the floor. a co-worker watched the spill while i went and got a mop. I start mopping and you would think people would go around or wait till i got done mopping but no..rude people kept coming through making me stop mopping so they can get through and even moving my mop bucket..wtf...i'm cleaning it up so no one gets hurt and they don't give a shit..
i get it all cleaned up and they start calling people back up to register i said screw it and went back to produce..
I'm stocking 5lb bags of potatoes and come across a bunch of rotted ones...the smell was disgusting..i decide to go dump the compost so the potatoes wouldn't stink up the back room. well its raining..it really sucks to dump compost in the rain.i open one of the buckets to dump stuff in and a swarm of fruit flies attack me..lol..i quickly close the lid and i had to take my glasses off to wipe the fruit flies off so i could see..then here come a hand full of bees.lol..all i could think was i just want to go home...the bees go away and me and a coworker dump the compost and one of those rotted potatoes split open and no lie it started to ooze what looked like vanilla pudding.,..compost is disgusting!...i was glad when my shift was over

dawn and trash

at work yesterday me and a co-worker were filling up a stack base of dawn twin pack dish soap and a lady comes up and takes one and puts her single bottle of dawn she picked up from aisle 13 and puts it on our stack-base..i without missing a beat picks it up off the stack-base and puts it on our rocket cart, so i can put it back on aisle 13 and she says you should get a real job...WTF!..lol...me and my co-worker just look at each other and start laughing..lol..

Later in the day i was throwing cardboard into the baler and a couple of workers from the bakery come up and are throwing their trash into the compactor.. it looked heavy so i offered to help..they pick up the sides of the trashcan and i get the bottom..( oh the trashcan sits on this disc thing with wheels so they can wheel the cans were they need to go).so the trash goes into the compactor and just then the can detaches itself from the disc thing on wheels..so there i am holding the wheels and disc thing as the trashcan slides into the trash compactor..lol..i was like oh shit how do we get that out of the trash compactor.One of the Assistant Managers comes over and he hops in the compactor and retrieves the can.I'm glad he did that cause i didn't want to get in there and get the can,that compactor is disgusting.lol..

Im workng the 5am shift this morning..you should me tryng to fill produce in a zombie like state..kinda funny.

2 years

the following pic is of the kid..the one on the left was taken the day we left California( we were on the train and he was on the train platform waving goodbye..kinda funny how it looks like he is happy we are leaving..lol..).the one on the right was taken a few weeks ago when he was up here for a visit..it just amazes me how much he has changed in the two years we have been gone.

a few things

so all week i have been working the closing shift in produce. when you close you spend the last two hours of your shift cleaning up the backroom.You have to clean the sinks, knives, scale,carts,cutting boards, floor, floor drains and sinks. plus dump the compost and deal with the cardboard and plastic bags and shit like that.well last night when i was washing the drains the power-washer hose thing got away from me and some how i managed to soak my pants..lol..
Then while i was cleaning up one of the carts a big ass spider was hanging out on the cart. it was light brown with spots on it(first thing they told me when i got to produce was to keep a look out for the spiders that can be on the cases of bananas.apparently they are nasty ones.).. i looked away for a second to try and find something to kill it with and i looked back and it was gone..i freaked out..i was certain the thing got in my hair and nested in there.then i thoguht " oh my god its going to bite me and im gonna die in walmart"..lol..it was funny..i never did find the spider.
they made a bunch of us ( me included) empty a truck right before my shift was over. i was pissed i just wanted to go home.get that done i clock out and realized i have to buy toilet paper on way out of work..of course there's a huge line.And stupid me goes through the express line. well, there's nothing express about the express lane. so i get to the front of line and realize why it took so long to get through. they had the girl that had only use of one of her arms cause the other one was basically a flipper..lol... why would you put a person who can only use one arm on a register..and express lane register at that..
After getting soaked,thinking a spider nested in my hair, emptying a truck, and dealing with the long line to buy tp i was so glad to get home and to have to today off...
