Here's whats been going on since i last blogged. As you can see we have got internet now.we also got a home phone and cable.we are just moving on up like the Jefferson's..lol..We got a kitten..named her bagheera after the black panther in the movie jungle book.
The weather has been COLD!. we have had a couple of days of snow and ice. the other morning i couldn't get the jeep door open. it was frozen shut. had to chisel the ice off the door to get it open..lol...Work is a little insane right now. holidays and all.its like the whole town comes out to shop everyday. be glad when its over.

so gina got her 90 day evaluation today and they told her she needs to work on talking more to the customers...lol...Gina is a fast checker why would they want someone sociable over someone who is fast and gets the lines down..i don't get it...its funny when gina is checking someone out she doesn't look at them keeps her head down and hurry s and gets them out..lol..she has a rule never make eye contact with the locals it will only initiate conversation..lol..they also told her she needs to zone more..zoning is straightening the items on the shelves..checkers have to keep the candy and crap you can pick up while waiting in line neat and tidy..if thats all they have to complain about shes doing good.

6 days

just realized in 6 days is the anniversary of moms passing...2 years shes been gone...our lives have changed so much in two years...i wonder if shes proud of what we have accomplished in those two years..I'm sure she is...love you mom!.

We have been in there a few days now..everything is going good..its relatively quiet considering the amount of people in this complex..made a chicken pot pie from scratch yesterday..kinda fun to cook..lol..we are starting to adjust to all the quiet and it just being the two of us

I was at work yesterday and i only worked a 4 hour shift and they were paging me and paging me to go up front..well i felt like something was up they didn't say come up for customer service or anything like. so i was like i'm not going up there, they are going to try and make me pull in carts again or something stupid like that. well the pages went on for about an hour or so. i never went. i later found out they wanted me to dry off the carts that were coming in from outside(its been raining on and off the last couple of days)..lol..wtf!. why do they always call me up for shit like this..its like when they handed me a sponge and wanted me to clean the scruff marks off the floor..which i told them no, i draw the line at scrubbing floors you got maintenance for that..

so you know how we are suppose to move into the apartment on nov.1st.well, the management company calls the other day and says you might make to much(its a low income housing thing) and that they need our latest pay stubs. well that was at the end of last week and we still haven't heard anything back from them yet. They told us 4 weeks ago when we came in that we qualified and everything looks good. i hate shit like this..

ok so the other day i clock out of work and need to use the rest room so i go into one and someone or something had taken a shit on the floor. it was a good size pile too. i got out of there and waited to use the rest room til i got home.Today guys from electronics come over and want to store use some febreeze because, you guessed it,someone or something had shit on the floor in electronics..there's a serial shitter on the loose up here..lol...

ice pack and incident report

i went to work today, got there tried to clock in and the clock told me i was an hour to early for work..ugh..should have known right there today would be an interesting day..lol..i managed to clock in and start work an hour early..joy..so most of the day i was feeling sick, getting dizzy a lot( don't know why..been happening a lot this last week).then i go out to the floor with a rocket cart full of laundry soap to stock.i'm trying to open the box and there's a lot of glue or something on this box. i cant get it open no matter how hard i pulled on the flap..it was like tug-of-war with this box..i lost..the box let go and i hit my hand full force on the metal bar on the rocket cart..i looked down at my hand and right above my wrist thumb side it swelled up instantly looked like i had a marble or ping pong ball under my skin..lol..it was kinda cool how fast it happened..so i got tell my department manager and she takes me over to get an ice pack( i know where they keep the band aids and ice packs now..lol.i'm learning about that first aid kit a little to much.lol..).my assistant manager sees whats going on and asks do i want to fill out an incident report .. i was like no i can still feel my fingers and move my hand its ok..but another assistant manger came over and insisted that i fill one out..all i wanted was an ice pack and to be left alone.just so happens the guy from human resources was there while i was filling out the paper and i had to explain it to him too..he told me to be more careful..well no shit i'm thinking to myself..lol..hand is fine..swelling is down and there's a small knot and a bruise..its all good..what a day glad its over..next two days off.maybe i;ll get some sleep..haven't been sleeping much this last week either.oh get this...went to the garden the other night after work to pick the bell peppers and someone stole them and every red looking tomato we had...doesn't that just suck...going to tomorrow and pull everything thats left out of the garden.they have to be cleared out next month anyway..so we will just take it down now.

It started to rain today..temps dropping guess Fall/winter is coming..Work is going ok..today i actually got hit in the face by case of toilet paper(shocker i know..lol) but my eye actually hurt all day and hurt to close it..little swollen..maybe i'll have a black eye in the morning..or not..who knows..lol..Gina is getting use to work..she had a guy come through her line talking about how he cant believe people take out their frustration out on the cashiers and stuff like that..then asked gina if she wanted to arm wrestle..lol..arm wrestle??.guess thats a redneck pickup line..lol.. The garden is going ok..the thing needs to be emptied out i think by the beginning of October.We some bell peppers actually grow,theres a few more little pumpkins growing and we started to pick all the gourds off..there are so many of those..lol..kinda sucks that gardening season is almost over..we had fun doing it...learned a lot.it was a good thing. glad we did it.thats about it for now. hows everyone doing?

Well......,Shit.......

Ok so today was my annual evaluation at work..they give you either a 20,40,50 or 60 cent raise..well i'm thinking to myself i'm sure to walk out of there with at least 50 cents..so they tell me that i'm a solid performer and the only thing i need to work on is when they tell me to go register that to be more positive about it..so i'm like ok whatever then i look at the bottom of the page where it tells how much of a raise...40 cents...WTF!!(thats "what the fuck" for those who dont know)..If the assistant manager told me that all i need to work on is saying "oh thank you for letting me go up front and register" and skipping right along up to the front..then why i'm i only getting 40 cents..i asked him and all he could give me was this broad general reason nothing pinpoint.(he sounded like a politician).I told him you are just talking in circles and not answering my question.he continued with this general reason and said do you have any more questions i told him no because all your doing is reading me this paper you handed me with these general descriptions on it about what they look at..i can do that myself i told him..The whole time my department manager was sitting right there not saying a word(that pissed me off)..nothing...then hes like you need to fill the comment section on this paper..i told him you really want me to comment about this right now..he said you have to put something...i wrote" future goals..take over the world.."...lol...how could i put a serious comment there when the whole thing was such a joke..and i don't want to hear " be thankful you have a job, or at least you got a raise"... I'll think that in a few days but right now i'm going to be pissed about it.

Ginas 1st day

Well today was ginas first day..2 hours in to her day i'm getting text messages from her that she hates it( she will be posting a blog about her day soon)..lol..We saw each other in passing through the day and both got off work at the same time which will probably be the last time that happens.All day long people told us "i was talking to your sister thinking it was you".

When we went to Seattle John wanted to see this place where there still was remains from the old stadium that the Seattle rainers played at.turned out this place was a Lowes..lol...they had a little shrine to the team and home plate was still there. kinda cool..heres some pics from that.

Heres a few pics from when we took the kid to the airport the other day.The first pic is of downtown.you can safeco field and qwest field..the second is the space needle(that was pretty cool).the third is the parking structure at the airport.yes you go round and round through those circle like things in the pic. til you get to the level you can find parking on.john kinda went a little fast in one of those circles and gina and i almost pucked..lol..he had to go slow the rest of the way up(we found parking on level 6).had to close our eyes to.lol..lots of fun

Drug Test

Well she passed the drug test,they called today and told her she has to be at work for orientation on Tuesday morning.They asked over the phone when they called today if we were sisters and if we were twins..guess we got to get ready to answer that questions a thousand more times in the next few weeks..lol..oh well at least we are both working now.

New Job

Well gina is employed now, well pending the drug test..lol..she will be a part time cashier, she will be making more then me too..lol.

Good day

Today was my day off so us and the kid went out to breakfast,went to a movie(G-force),Got some school supplies for him(we used to enjoy school shopping with the kid.It was nice to do that with him again.)Then bought mom a new plant for her birthday.we put right next to the fern we got her before.Mom loved to have house plants around.It was a good day. IT was nice to spend time with the kid. we are going to miss him when he leaves next week...Gina's interview is tomorrow..cross fingers..

Ok, so i was just looking through all the pics we took during dads visit..look at this pic...look at the yellow line in the road..click pic to view it larger you can see it better.

the rest of the visit i had to work so gina took them around town and they would come up to work and have lunch with me.the jeep's starter decided to act up and we had to beat the crap out of it to get it going a few times. dad bought us a new starter.the kid felt better by end of visit.Dad went back this morning. we had to have him in ephrata to catch the train to Seattle at 4am or so,then he takes a plane to long beach.i hate that the visit went by so fast. it sucks to say goodbye to your loved ones.

The 3rd day we stuck around town.We went to the thrift stores which dad loves doing. we went to the garden(dad jumped right in there and started helping us work the garden which was nice),mont lake and a few stores around town. the kid was sick the next few days and stayed in the motel. heres some pics from this day

Day2:
We took a drive out to the coulee dam.along the way we stopped at soap lake and dry falls.On the way back we also stopped along the rode and enjoyed the lake,skipping rocks that kinda stuff.
When we got to the dam we went and had a picnic near the bottom of the dam.we were going to do the glass elevator tour but the elevator was broken. so instead we went to the casino across the street and played the slot machines for a little bit. Here are some pics from the day.

The visit-day 1

Dad left today to go back home, the kid is going to stay for a few weeks.Heres how the visit went

The first day they where here we took a drive out to Leavenworth and the wenatchee river.We stopped at the antique mall, and this 50's diner called Studebaker's. Dad really liked the mall, we spent two hours in there and he enjoyed looking at all the toys he used to have as a kid. we stopped at this mercentile/general store called smallwoods.then we stopped alongside the rode and walked down to the wenatchee river and took pics and stuff like that.heres some pics from that day.

We pick dad and the kid Friday night after work.they have been having a fun time in Seattle the last few days.today we got a text message from the kid saying I'm texting you from atop the space needle..which he thought was really cool..

Camping

So we went camping yesterday with the forkers.It was pretty cool.WE have never been camping before and didnt really know what to expect. I'm glad we did it. The campsite was cool. it was on the other side of town( about ten mins away) and we had a site right next to the forkers and together we shared this caul-de-sac area of the campgrounds,We were right there next to the lake. you could get in and swim(if you dared).There were a lot of people boating, jet skiing and stuff like that. we are at the one end of the campgrounds next to this fence(chain link) that showed where this guys private property started, The Canadian geese took up home there(i was certain the geese where going to try and pull the tent or one of us through the fence.like in that video where the polar bear tries to pull that lady through the bars of the fence..lol..) and a whole bunch of squirrels. We saw a squirrels nest to. kinda neat. Then we started a fire in the pit thing.John started it, and no he didn't blow anything up or singe off the hair on his face or anything. we roasted some turkey dogs over the fire for diner.The later we made smores.Then the sun went down(nice sunset) stars came out(lots of them).johns wife and daughter decided to go home and sleep.we stayed(first time camping you got to sleep outside in a tent right)John and his son shared a tent and gina and i shared a tent. had a hard time sleeping.With the noises from outside,and the uncomfortableness of sleeping on the ground we didn't get much sleep and where up by 4am. Which in retrospect wasn't bad because we did get to see the sunrise,and just nature waking up..it was neat. We liked camping.Would we do it again...yes.. Heres some pics

The other night after having a few shots with the forkers we were all hanging around the living room talking. While we were talking one of their cats (boo boo) decided to stick his paw inside the cage of one of the forkers pet mice(the lid to the cage was open.A/c is broke so they were trying to cool him off).As boo boo was gently trying to pet the mouse.The mouse, what looked like to us,grabbed a hold of boo boos paw and wouldn't let go.So boo boo pulled his paw out of the cage and started to try and get the mouse off his paw. boo boo was flaring his paw left to right and up and down.Just then the mouse flew off boo boos paw and while in mid air we swear it did a few head over heels rotations.The mouse then landed spread eagle on ginas shirt.Gina didn't even flinch just looked down and said ok..it was like that kinda of stuff happens all the time. It was one of those moments you had to really see to believe,with the paw flaring and mouse rotations and ginas cool reaction..lol.I wish one of had a camera going I'm sure that would have been a youtube hit..lol..

Well dad and the kid are in Seattle right now visiting with our dads friend..they will be here this Friday..Cant Wait for them to get here.

I have the next three days off from work,which is nice. Last night i worked till 11pm. i lost my name badge(which i use to clock in and out with) it was there when i started to throw cardboard in the baler and then it was gone when after i was done..guessing its in the baler somewhere..lol..crushed.they told me to wait around and they would show me how to clock out on the computer..i said fuck it and went home..i'll clear it up on Friday when i go back to work..got to figure out how i'm going to clock in to work too...then these kids decided to rip open the bags of chips scatter the chips in the aisles and step on them..so i spent a portion of my night cleaning up after these punks..i was glad when the night ended..

The garden is coming along..the weather is being brutal to it tho. 100 degree heat for about three weeks now..we have 4 pumpkins that are a decent size now.we are going to go do some weeding in there today and kinda clean things up a bit.with this heat the weeds grow like crazy.

Tomorrow the forkers and us are going camping by the lake. we have never been camping so this should be interesting. we will take a bunch of pics and put them up here later this week.

ok so i clock into work and no more then 30 mins later i hear over the intercom.."due to circumstances out of our control all associates and customers must evacuate the building"...i'm thinking sweet!...there was a natural gas leak..as i was heading towards the doors a manager( one of the ones i don't like much) stops me and asks me "aren't you going to tell people they have to leave"...fine, first person i go to i tell them they have to leave and why and they bitch well cant i check out first...wtf...i said go ahead and try...i turned around and got out of the building..didn't stop and tell anyone else.i was one of the first few people out..the one thing the pond and Jim G. taught me was my safety first..if these people want to get blown up thats fine but i was getting the heck out...

4th of july

kinda wish we were back home in the backyard with our family having a bbq and sitting there watching the fireworks go off.Hope you guys are having a good 4th, we miss you guys and love you too, most of you..lol..

Work

It sucks to work where i work on a holiday..its been crazy packed in there the last couple of days.it was nice today i get there and they say you need to help out in produce or dairy..i took dairy..Its been in the 100's here the last few days so going into the dairy cooler and stocking milk and stuff, i didn't mind..lol..at one point i looked down at my hands and they were really red and felt numb..guess it got to cold for them..it was funny they decided to put out in front of the store all this soda, chips and stuff like that that was on sale i guess, to try and get you to buy it. well after a couple of days of 100 degree weather the soda cans started to explode..lmao..it was funny watching them bring back into the back room all this soda that the tops had popped off..

i'm at work yesterday and it was about 15 mins till lunch break and the manager calls me over to aisle 11..i get there and he shows me this thing..


A Grill made out of cardboard(it was a display) which was full of bbq sauce,and bbq spices and tells me to put the items back on the shelf..hes like it has wheels so you can push it around..so off i went pushing this grill around walmart putting things away..people telling me i like you grill and shit like that...lmao...wish gina was in there to get a pic of me pushing this thing around..it was pretty comical.

I dont Know whats with people i this town but they like to share every aspect of their lives with anyone near by..i'm at work on lunch at a table by myself(which i like), minding my own business when a co-worker who i dont know comes up to and explains to me how she is getting dizzy and stuff like that, then tells me how earlier that morning her man wanted try some "moves" out and the motion of it all made her dizzy and nauseated..What the fuck i don't even know her and shes tell me this..Then we are at a thrift store this morning and the old lady ringing us up is explaining to us how she has to keep hiking up her underwear that they keep falling off..its like the people in this town don't know what to much information means..lol..i don't get it...
